2023 | Reconsider by carole touati solo exhibition at galerie 3m2 in paris, jardins du palais royal. 6-11 september

In early September, Ceramic artist Carole Touati, founder of re|consider, shown her latest clay and porcelain pieces at Galerie 3m2, in the Jardins du Palais Royal, Paris.
Living between Spain and France, she learnt hand-building techniques and wheel-throwing in Barcelona from a Japanese ceramist. She recently decided to set up her own studio in Chissey-En-Morvan (Burgundy), where she lives half the year. Her work has been exhibited at Milan's Design Fashion Week and in Tokyo at Pop-Ups at La Forêt, Harajuku.

Her new collection, 'Transverse', is made up of amphoras created using the coiling technique. Classic shapes brought up to date by the application of brightly coloured glazes and the addition of handles made from recycled t-shirt yarn or "trapillo", made by the artist's mother.  "Another rhythm comes to double the first and combines with it, and I don't know what transverse relationships are established between these laws", Valéry, Variété V, 1944.
