2020 | I WONDER
Lately, I have been working on new clothing pieces for Reconsider. But. I wonder. Does it have any sense at all?
Huge quantities of clothes have been produced and are being produced every minute on this planet.
Do I want to add mine? Is it really necessary?
Do we really need more?
Re|consider garments are designed, prototyped and produced locally in Barcelona and the natural fabrics I use are sourced in Europe. But that’s the least I can do as a defender of slow fashion, isn’t it?
But. Is it enough?
To be honest, I am convinced that the only acceptable ways of creating fashion today are the following:
- recycling vintage
- upcycling
No other option seems fundamentally ethical in 2020.
So, I have taken the decision to center my work on ceramics and ,regarding fashion, to create in the future only upcycled pieces. I will continue to offer the pieces from the first collection on a made-to-order basis, as a continuous timeless collection, but all the new pieces will be made from already existing garments and fabrics.
I will keep you informed of the next steps of this exciting adventure.

The thought
Fashion is going through a period of great upheaval that could relate to the end of a cycle. Thirty years have passed since the advent of "fast-fashion", the machines turn to block, but the industry is running out of steam, trying to find itself. The planet too, is running out of steam.
How many feel sick when they open their closet, facing the accumulation of soulless fabrics, which over the years have lost value and no longer arouse interest. The platforms for selling clothes and other second-hand objects are flourishing, we are trying to create space by emptying our closets.
But which are the objects or outfits that we cherish and continue to love and wear despite their age? Those with a soul, a personality of their own, those that have been made with love, those that participate in the rituals of our daily life by bringing a touch of authenticity.
With Reconsider, our desire is to adopt this new deal, to reconsider fashion, to reconsider style, to reconsider the way we consume.
To support this concept, faithful to the idea of conscious and parsimonious consumption, you will find objects and garments made with great care by designers-friends to whom I have offered a revision of emblematic designs from their previous collections. To me, past collections are treasures. I consider that with time, some creations have proven priceless.
The critical period we are going through is the perfect setting for reconsidering the ressources we have and the way we use them, for reconsidering the value of what already exists. We all can make meaningful choices with our clothing while appreciating the history of the industry.
I invite you to discover pieces that will accompany you for years, pieces that you will continue to watch with tenderness and to cherish over time. Timeless is not necessarily boring nor monotonous!
THE Production
Our objects and earrings are handmade by me ;) with clay and porcelain.
Our garments are produced locally, in Barcelona, in one of the few workshops that still accept small production quantities.
The fabrics we use are sourced in Europe. We use organic cotton and silk.
